iPortfolio FAQs
The iPortfolio is a great place to store patient images and documents! Here we answer all your most common questions about it!
How do I delete items from the iPortfolio?
- Highlight the item in the iPortfolio
- Click the minus button on the lower left.
- This window will display asking you if you're sure; click Delete.
What is the file size limit for iPortfolio items?
Tops Ortho will warn you if you add items exceeding 1.0 MB. You are typically able to add items larger than 1.0MB, but doing so regularly will use excessive disk space on your server.
If you take 3D images (STL files), please do not store them in the iPortfolio. They are very large and will take up too much disk space. We recommend storing these files in shared network folders or on the image capture workstation.
Can I edit an item after it has been added to the iPortfolio?
Yes! You can do this by checking out the item:
- Double-click the item.
- A window will display with two radio button options. Select Check out for possible edits.
- In the I am: dropdown menu, select your name.
- Click Open File.
- Make your edits.
- Go to File > Save.
- Highlight the item in the iPortfolio.
- Click Check In All Files.
- This window will display.
- If you wish to keep both the old and new version of the item, click Keep.
- If you only wish to keep the new version of the item, click Remove.
Which file types can I add to the iPortfolio?
Almost all file types are accepted! However, you may see the message below when adding an image file such as a .jpeg or .png.
If you still wish to add the item to the iPortfolio, check the box in the Imp... column and click Add Checked Files to iPortfolio.
