Reschedule a Contract Charge
Your patient couldn't make a payment. You talked it over and agreed to move the charge to the end of the contract. Let's go over how to do this!
The process below is for contracts without insurance. If you need to reschedule charges for a contract WITH insurance, please call Tops Support (770.627.2527) for assistance!
- Open the patient's contract worksheet.
- You will see that any contract charges already posted to the ledger have blue checkmarks. Select any of these charges you wish to reschedule.
- Click the Reschedule Charges... button on the left. You can reschedule more than one charge at once, if needed!
- This window will display informing you of the amount being rescheduled and the date of the new charge. Click OK.
- The charge will now be at the end of the contract.
- If your last contract charge was a slightly different amount, make sure to restore this. In our example, Robert's last charge was $365.70 instead of $365.62, so we needed to swap the amounts of the last two charges so that the $365.70 was still the last charge.
- Click Record Contract.
- You will see that the Due Now is now zero; the $365.62 has been added back to the Future Due.
