Dive Into the Patient Matrix
The Patient Matrix report is a great resource for demographic and clinical information. Here's how to use it:
- Go to Matrix > Patients.
- The following filters are available:
- Office
- Orthodontist
- Tx Status
- Tx Phase
- Birthday
- Minors/Adults
- Extended Treatment
- Current Patient/Dismissed
- Choose your desired filters. As an example, we sorted by patients in Active Treatment, under a Comprehensive Treatment Phase, who are Minors:
- Now comes the fun part - pulling up custom columns headers! Here are your options:
- We wanted to see which active treatment patients are not coming in as expected. We selected Tx Start Date, Next Appointment Date, Next Recall Target Date and Due Now.
- From this list alone we learn the following:
- Eric Gage has a start date that looks strange; it was 9 years ago! He also has neither an appointment nor a recall scheduled.
- Harish Manisekar, Kayla Colling and Daniel Coller don't have start dates entered.
- We need to call Eva and David Dirkes; neither of them have an appointment nor a recall scheduled. Plus, it looks like they started two years ago...are they going past estimated treatment time?
- Bob and Maisie Smith are scheduled but they have large Due Now amounts; we need to have their responsible party talk to our Financial Coordinator when they come in.
- Daniel Coller's responsible party may be avoiding scheduling due to the large Due Now on the account. We should reach out or at least schedule a recall.
- This is only one example of the wealth of information you can get from the Patient Matrix! Jump in today and start "slicing and dicing" the information - you won't regret it!
