Add or Remove Pages from a Letter Template

Is your diagnostic letter getting too long? Is it generating with an extra, unnecessary page? Adding or removing pages from a letter template is easy!

  1. Go to Tops Ortho > Practice Setup > Letters/Forms > Letters.
  2. Double-click the letter template you want to edit.
  3. You can adjust the number of pages in either of the following ways:
    • Update the Number of Pages field to reflect the total number of pages needed.
    • With the template open for editing, select Format > Add a Page or Format > Delete Last Page.
  4. Click Save Template or press Command-S.

Important: After posting a letter to a patientโ€™s chart and opening the generated letter for editing, do not use Format > Add a Page if you want the change to be reflected in the template. This only adds a page to that individual patientโ€™s letter and does not update the template. To permanently change the template, edit the template from Tops Ortho > Practice Setup > Letters/Forms > Letters, update the Number of Pages field (or use Format > Add a Page while editing the template), and save the template.
