Add a New Staff Member

Add a new staff member and assign them system permissions.

  1. Go to Tops Ortho > Practice Setup > Staff/Security.
  2. Type your password and click OK. 
  3. Click the + icon.
  4. Enter the employee's information and assign a unique password. Note: The password must be at least five characters in length.
  5. Click Create Staff Member.
  6. Select Admin Staff or Clinical Staff in the dropdown menu.

If you want a staff member to be able to seat patients in Patient Flow, they must be assigned as Clinical Staff.

  1. If you want the staff member to display as an option in the Treatment Coordinator dropdown menu of patients' charts, check the box for Treatment Coordinator. Note: This will also allow the employee access to the D7 Patient Care Tracking report.
  2. Click the checkbox to assign privileges. Note: If at any time you wish to change a staff member's password, click their name on the list and select Change Staff Member's Password.

Note: You cannot delete an employee once added. However, you can mark them inactive by removing the check mark to the left of Active.
