Understand the Opt-Out List
Not sure why a patient landed on the Opt-Out list in TopsDPX? Let's clear it up.
The following patient responses to reminders and/or confirmation texts will unsubscribe a patient and they will stop receiving communication from your practice:
- CANCEL
- STOP
- UNSUBSCRIBE
If you find that a lot of patients are responding with "Cancel" because they want to cancel their appointment, please include a message in your reminders letting them know that this word will opt them out of future messages!
- Did a patient opt out by accident? No worries! Have them follow the directions they are given in the text thread. By replying START, they can opt back in to reminders!
- If the patient has deleted the original text thread, they can still text the word START to your outgoing number to opt back in.
