New Contract Defaults

If you are a practice that has at least a consistent initial fee quoted for a recommended treatment plan, you may want to consider updating Defaults for New Contracts.

Other fee that can auto-populate or serve as a reference that can be updated to auto-populate in your new contracts are your periodic contract fee that populated for your monthly charges; your typical extended treatment per visit fee, your extended tx per month fee and your broken retainer fee. The latter three are purely for reference but will auto-populate in your contract worksheet.

  1. Go to Tops Ortho > Practice Setup.
  2. Input your password and click OK.
  3. Go to Defaults.
  4. In the Defaults for New Contracts section, complete the following:
    • Initial Fee: The normal initial fee charged by your office.
    • Periodic Contract Fee: The most common monthly charge.
    • Extended Tx Per Visit Fee: The most common fee charged (whether monthly or per visit) over standard treatment length, regardless of when the patient has appointments. This is for reference only.
  • Broken Retainer Fee: The most common fee charged for a broken retainer. This is for reference only.
  • All contract defaults can be overridden in the Contract Worksheet.
