New Contract Defaults

If your practice has a consistent initial fee that is typically quoted for a recommended treatment plan, consider updating the Defaults for New Contracts in Tops Ortho.

You can also set other common fees to auto-populate in new contracts or display as a reference in the Contract Worksheet. These include your Periodic Contract Fee, Extended Tx Per Visit Fee, Extended Tx Per Month Fee, and Broken Retainer Fee. The extended treatment and broken retainer fees are for reference only but will automatically populate in the Contract Worksheet.

  1. Go to Tops Ortho > Practice Setup.
  2. Enter your password and click OK.
  3. Go to Defaults.
  4. In the Defaults for New Contracts section, complete the applicable fields:
    • Initial Fee: The standard initial fee charged by your practice.
    • Periodic Contract Fee: The most common periodic or monthly contract charge.
    • Extended Tx Per Visit Fee: The standard fee charged per visit when treatment extends beyond the standard treatment length. This is for reference only.
    • Extended Tx Per Month Fee: The standard monthly fee charged when treatment extends beyond the standard treatment length. This is for reference only.
    • Broken Retainer Fee: The standard fee charged for a broken retainer. This is for reference only.

Note: All contract defaults can be overridden in the Contract Worksheet.
